A little bit about me...
My name is Courtny McFarland. I am a recent graduate of Northeastern State University. This is my first year teaching at Cooper Elementary. I am looking forward to getting to know you and your students. This is going to be a wonderfully exciting, and educationally fun year!
I have so many great things planned and a lot of ideas to share with your children. I know how much you care about your child's education, and I will do everything I can to ensure a successful year in 5th grade.
Fifth grade is my favorite grade. I love how intelligent and quick witted my students are. I work very hard to give them the best education possible. In return I expect to have them do their best not only in my classroom but outside of it as well.
I am going to be sending home a packet on the first day of class with a little information about my homework policy, behavior policy, and ways to get a hold of me throughout the year.
Please sign the bottom slip and send it back with your child, so that I know that you have read and understood what is going to be expected from me, as the teacher, you, as a parent, and your child, as a student in my classroom.
Remember if you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to ask. I am here for you AND your student.
Thank you so much for your time and patience. I know this year will be magnificent.
